Pilotage

The use of pilots in Patagonian ports in obligatory for all ships of foreign flag and those longer than 120 meters of length flying the Argentinean flag. The Service is rendered by email with the completion of the form (link).

It will be confirmed within an ETA of 24 hours in advance by email, with reconfirmation in 12 hours before arrival by email and then exactly 2 hours before arrival, by VHF Prefectura Naval Argentina (L4S channel 8 and cell (??????). The recommended embarking position will be the following: LAT 042º 44’ 30 SOUTH - LON 064º 58’ 00 WEST

Mooring

Mooring is carried out using Madryn Marine’s vessels with compliance to the agreement endorsed 13-08-08 between the mooring businesses and the A.A.E.M.M. (Asociación Argentina Empeados de la Marina Mercante) indicating the following plan by meters of length.

MAXIMUM LENGHT

  • 30 - 50 mts. 3 MOORING CREW
  • 51 - 100 mts. 4 MOORING CREW
  • 101 - 150 mts. 4 MOORING CREW + 1 FOREMAN
  • 151 - 200mts. 5 MOORING CREW + 1 FOREMAN
  • 201 - 250mts. 7 MOORING CREW + 1 FOREMAN
  • 251 - 300mts. 9 MOORING CREW + 1 FOREMAN

Naval Surveys

Service of Naval Surveys with advice in labor and commercial matitime law is offered.

Mooring Support

During moorage if support is needed and asked for by the Maritime Agency and/or the Captain of the ship, the assistance of our vessels ALONDRA and MADRYN will be at yout disposal.

Transportation for people and cargo is a service offered inside the Golfo Nuevo. For example, journey from Puerto Madryn to Bahía Cracker is covered in approximately 1 hour.
